Traveling with your VISA® Debit Card?
Please Notify Us!
In order to prevent fraudulent debit card transactions, restrictions are in place when using your Visa Debit Card outside of the Illinois and Indiana areas. Please remember to notify us prior to traveling outside of these areas. We will temporarily activate your card in the designated area of travel.
For those cardholders residing in another state or country, your card will only work in the area you reside in.
Methods of contact:
- Via our secure Communication Center, log into Home Banking. If your communication is received after 3:30pm, we will add your travel plans on the next business day we are open. Please include your member number, travel destinations, travel dates, and contact information.
- Call us at 312.922.5310, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- Visit us at any Branch.
In the event that you forget to notify us of your travel arrangements and you are declined a transaction, please call our afterhours Declined Transaction Assistance Line at 888.526.0404. You may also call 312.922.5310, option 3. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience and assure you that our intention is to protect your funds.
A USECU Visa Debit Card is
available for members with Checking accounts. The card is free with a $500 total monthly direct deposit to your USECU checking and/or savings account.
Individual withdrawal limits may vary and are set by USECU. Please refer to your Visa Debit Card approval letter.
Update Your PIN by Phone
Real time PIN by Phone provides you with the option of changing your 4-digit Check/Debit card PIN by calling 877.746.6746. You will be prompted to provide the primary telephone number on file at USECU, card number, and personal information. Upon verification, your new PIN will be effective immediately.
- Always protect your USECU Visa® Debit Card & Personal Identification Number (PIN) as you would cash, checks, and credit cards.
- DO NOT keep your PIN with your USECU VISA® Debit Card and always keep it confidential!

Reporting Your Card Lost or Stolen
Contact USECU immediately at 312.922.5310 during normal business hours. We will cancel your old card and order a new one. You may also contact our processor directly 24-hours a day at 800.682.6075.
